This week, 5 volunteers of J'IRAI A L'ECOLE joined the teaching team of the School of the Little Giants in Antananarivo.
As with every mission, the programme is a busy one, with many tasks awaiting us. On the agenda for the first 2 days:
Administrative formalities with the authorities (modification of the building permit for the new secondary school with the town planning department of the town hall, preparation of the file for the opening of a new school to be submitted to the Direction Régionale de l'Education Nationale), several working meetings with the masonry company that will be in charge of the construction of the new building.
And while we're waiting for classes to begin again on Monday, we're taking advantage of the weekend to visit the families of the children at the School of the Little Giants. These are vital opportunities to talk to them, to gain a better understanding of the problems these families face, and to see once again the extreme poverty in which they live.
